Genopets has added two new mini-games to its pet-walk-win game. Called Feed and Fetch, these mini-games are used by players to keep their Genopets fed and happy, which will result in better Step to Energy conversion.
Earlier this year, Genopets added food and toys to their game. Once per day, when a player converts their steps into energy, they receive a random selection of 3-6 items.
The Genopets team received some criticism after the initial release of these minigames. The gameplay of both minigames takes some getting used to. And even once you figured out how to play, it was easy to make mistakes and waste resources. And while players receive these new items for free as part of the game, losing them without receiving anything in return isn’t very pleasant.

And so, in a future update, they will make some changes to help alleviate these issues. First, there will be a practice mode, allowing players to get familiar with the games before needing to use any of its actual items. They also plan to make the hitboxes a bit bigger and the indicator movement a bit slower.
Players will also be able to see the actual numerical values of items they use to feed and play with their pets.
Parental states currently have no real effect on stage conversion, but they will in the future. Therefore, it’s a good idea to get into the habit and practice to keep your Genopet at the peak of their happiness.
The next major update for Genopets will include the addition of Augments. Augments will allow players to customize the appearance of their Genopet through body parts and color. These boosts will not only be cosmetic, they will also play a role in future versions of the game.

What is Genopets?
Genopets is a free move to win game based on the Solana blockchain. Using the Genopets app, players collect steps as they walk. They convert these steps into energy, then use that energy to upgrade their pet or exchange it for KI tokens. KI tokens are the primary currency in Genopets and are used to craft crystals, upgrade pets, and maintain habitats.
Genopets change visually as they level up. Higher level pets also provide a better step in energy conversion rate. Genopets recently introduced a new level-based energy conversion system that has drastically reduced the amount of energy players generate. Especially those with low level Genopets.
Genopets offers a number of NFTs, as well as the new “SFT” style for stackable resources. The main NFTs are Genesis Genopets and Habitats. SFT resources include Raw Crystals, Refined Crystals, Terraform Seeds, and newly added Pet Boosts. The pet boosts will be used in an upcoming Pokemon-style pet battle game.
Genopets is currently in closed beta, open to those who have Habitat or Genopet and those who are whitelisted. They regularly add new players to the whitelist and have just added a referral system, allowing players to invite someone else to join.
