Throughout Eiichiro Oda’s anime and manga, we have met many characters who have remained in the hearts of readers and one of them is Portgas D. Ace, the older brother of Luffy and around which the plot revolves one of the most important arcs of all One Piece, with which the first half of the story ended. Ace came back to life thanks to the genderbend cosplay he presented Chrissy this week, which you can see a bit below.
During the first part of the One Piece anime and manga, we got to see Ace on different occasions, but his role became vital after he was defeated by Kurohige. This sparked an all-out war between the Navy and Shirohige, with Luffy on a seemingly impossible rescue mission that led to some iconic moments that inspired Chrissy’s cosplay featured on the occasion.
We constantly share cosplays of the most popular works and have shown off a lot of One Piece, but few cosplayers are as fans of Eiichiro Oda’s work as Chrissy. This has been shown with the characters he decides to cosplay, as in the six months he has been active, half of his works have been One Piece characters, such as Portgas D. Ace.
In fact, the first cosplay we can find on Chrissy’s social media is that of Portgas D. Ace which she did in August of last year, so since then she’s been showing us what a genderbend version would look like of this popular character. It’s been a while but Chrissy showed us a new version of her Ace cosplay, which looks more like what we saw in the One Piece anime and manga.
Chrissy posted a short video showing off her transformation from casual clothes to Ace cosplay, before sharing half a dozen photos that give us a closer look at her version of the popular character. “I am fire itself, you can’t touch me,” Chrissy’s post reads, referencing one of Portgas D. Ace’s dialogues in the One Piece anime and manga.
Since she’s been active, Chrissy has shown us some great cosplays inspired by the most popular One Piece characters, so if you like her Ace cosplay, you should check out her profile. Among the One Piece cosplays that suited her the best was Nico Robin cosplaying with the look of Enies Lobby, one of the best story arcs in all of One Piece.
