Like many games, Atomic Heart allows its players to use a map to navigate their world. The map is not available at first, but you will eventually unlock it. Unfortunately, some players have reported the map not working even after they should have unlocked it. In this guide, we will show you how you can fix the Atomic Heart card not working issue.

Before trying to fix the problem, make sure you have unlocked the card. The map will not be available until you escape from Vavilov’s compound and take the train to Lesnaya. You should then be able to access the map by pressing the “M” key on your keyboard or the designated button on your controller. Also keep in mind that the map will not open when you are in a bunker or dungeon. You can only access it when you are outside. If the card still won’t open for some reason, you can try the following methods.
update the game
The first thing you should try is updating Atomic Heart. Mundfish has released several updates to try and fix issues players have been facing in the game. Ensuring you have the latest version installed is the first step in troubleshooting any issues. Restarting the game is the fastest way to check for a new update.

Save your game outside a building
Some Atomic Heart players have claimed that their card stopped working after entering and exiting a building. Due to a bug, the game thinks they are still inside the building, so it won’t open. To fix this, you must first save your game using an external location, restart Atomic Heart, and then load the save file you created. The card should start working normally again afterwards.
