A National Guard patrol took the lead in a spectacular clash in Villahermosa in which a photographer died

Nail patrol of the National Guard (GN) Carreteras was involved in a road accident, after hitting a private vehicle in the state of Tabasco. It was reported that after the accident, a man who worked as a professional photographer was seriously injured and lost his life.

Preliminary reports indicated that the events occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 21, in the La Tinaja-Cosoleacaque Highway, at kilometer 187, shortly before reaching the toll. In the Isla – Acayucan section, a driver who was driving a Sentra car was hit by a GN element driving a unit of said company.

Local media reported that the highway division GN agent lost control of his patrol car during a turn at the targeted kilometer, where a retaining wall had been removed. For this reason, he did not realize that a private gray car was heading towards the 119 toll in Acayucan. The collision between the two cars caused property damage, emergency services were notified immediately.

The personnel of the Ponts et Chaussées Fédéraux (Capufe) arrived at the scene of the accident and, with the help of the medical services, rescued the driver who was trapped after the impact. The Sentra man was determined to have several leg and arm injuries, for which he had to be transferred to a hospital in the city of Acayucan. However, due to the severity of the injuries, after a few hours his death.

Based on the collected test data, it became known that the man who lost his life was engaged in Photography as a profession, and answered on behalf of Jose Antonio Rodriguez de Leon, about 50 years old. The car he was driving had Tabasco state license plates and was reported to be heading towards the town of Villahermosa, where he was from.

As for the element of LARP, it turned out that supposedly fled the place after noticing the accident in which he was involved, although there are no official reports in this regard to confirm this. What has been reported is that he abandoned the patrol he was driving – which was identified with economic number 18396, model Charger – as can be seen in images shared on social media.

Unofficially, it was indicated that the element of the LARP answers to the name of Cipriano “N”, who had previously been involved in a similar incident. Local media reported that in October 2022, this officer collided with a motorcyclist in the municipality of San Juan Evangelista, although the incident did not escalate.

In the photographs that circulated on the networks, we can see that the GN Carreteras unit ended up with front damage, like the gray Sentra, although the latter had more extensive damage, as the windshield crashed and the hood ended up being damaged. As a result, some cranes had to remove motor vehicles from the highway to restore traffic, which had to be temporarily halted.

On this occasion, the fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Francisco Juárez Avenue and Ferrocarril Central, in the Las Américas neighborhood. It is presumed that the officers would have tried to beat the train, but time was not enough and they ended up being affected.

In addition to the two deceased officers, it was reported that other four elements were injured after the accident, although his medical condition was not disclosed at the time.
