They set fire to a school in La Plata and the authorities do not know if they will be able to resume classes

An event with similar characteristics occurred months ago when Establishment No. 22 suffered a fire that affected part of the facilities.

In the case, two fire departments, San Carlos and Los Hornos, had to surrender after 911 received a call alerting them to flames consuming the facility at 520 between 138 and 139 streets.

According to local media, although the objective of the attack was not known, it was suspected that the unknown persons had entered with the idea of ​​stealing, but when they found nothing to take, they decided to ‘light the fire. The establishment had already been the subject of attacks in the previous months, which had caused the exhaustion of the educational community.

Hours later, the fire department report would detail that the first team arrived on scene and entered the building, to begin extinguishing duties, from an interior patio. After getting it, he asked for help from the Los Hornos Fire Department, who, once in place, managed to control and extinguish the flames.

It was reported that the fire had affected a room approximately 10 by 5 meters and that an inspection had been carried out in the rest of the building. In addition, the authorities stressed that there were no injuries or casualties.
