If you love Batman games and all things nightlife, Steam’s latest sale has you covered. To celebrate the birthday of mysterious billionaire-turned-crime-fighter Bruce Wayne, Valve’s online store has slashed prices on iconic Arkham games, as well as the relatively new Gotham Knights.
First, of course, are the Arkham games; the games that defined my childhood and in many ways inspired the career I have today. You can pick up the full bundle for 85% off, with Arkham Asylum, City, and Origins at 75% off, while Knight at 80% off. Theft? Absolutely, but maybe don’t tell Batman.
Next up is Injustice 2, which is 90% off and available for a whopping $4.99 / £3.99. The Legendary Edition with all characters is 85% off (so $8.99 / £7.45) and the Gods Among Us Definitive Edition with even more characters are 75% off. Several different DLC packs were also dropped.
In the same vein of action-adventure, Gotham Knights from Warner Bros. Montreal is 55% off, making the base game $26.99 / £22.49 and the Deluxe Edition $35.99 / £31.49. The Visionary Pack is also half price at $12.49 / £9.99, offering a range of cosmetics for the Bat family to adorn themselves with.
Finally (yes, there’s even more) we have the Lego Batman: Cult Classics sets that are perfect for introducing kids to the sinister world of DC’s fan-favorite vigilante. You can get all three games for just $4.99 / £2.99, with a host of DLC packs also available.
hay a lot I love this sale, but Arkham games are a real bargain in my opinion. Serious, precise, and utterly gorgeous, these are ‘bucket list’ games I encourage you to try.
Of the more modern contingent, however, Gotham Knights still stands out for me, especially since it’s graphically stunning. If, like me, Gotham Knights’ review scores put you off a bit, now might be the time to grab it.
Sale of Steam Batman games ends February 20, so you only have a few days to get your hands on these absolute gems. On the Marvel side of things (I know, I said the dreaded word), 2K strategy game Midnight Suns is free this weekend, and given our rave review of Midnight Suns, it might be worth it also to try.
Otherwise, we’ve got a list of the best superhero games to transport you to another magical world, along with our action-adventure game recommendations for fans of all things exciting.
