With Hogwarts Legacy taking place in the vast area surrounding the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, it’s no surprise that you’re required to take a few classes. Luckily, these aren’t your average boring lessons in the real world, but they’ll teach your character a lot about the magical world around them. These are all the classes you will attend at Hogwarts Legacy.

Astronomy

Besides meeting Amit, you won’t spend too much time in astronomy. Unsurprisingly, it’s located at the fast travel point of the Floo Powder Astronomy Tower at the top of the Astronomy Wing.
Cattle

In the Beasts class, you interact with creatures and learn how to feed and groom them. The classroom is located outside near the flying classroom lawn.
charms

Charms is one of the first classes you will attend to learn the Accio spell from Professor Ronen and meet Natty. You can find it under the astronomy tower in the astronomy wing.
Defense against black magic

Defense Against the Dark Arts will be your introduction to more offensive spells and pit you against Sebastian in a duel. Taught by Professor Hecat, you can find it in the corner of the school in the astronomy wing.
Fortune telling

Divination is handled by Natty’s mother, Professor Onai. Other than doing a task for her and having a side quest chat, you won’t spend much time here. It’s up a flight of stairs in the library annex.
Flying

Attending Madame Kogawa’s flying lesson for the first time will allow you to see the Hogwarts grounds from a much higher vantage point. This and the Beast class are the only two classes that take place outdoors.
Botanical

Herbology is a course focused on magical plants and taught by Professor Garlick. You will unlock the ability to use Mandrakes, Poisonous Tentacles, and Chinese Cabbage. It is taught in the greenhouses found in the library annex.
potions

As expected, you learn how to make potions with Professor Sharp in potions class. These will make you stronger in various areas, like turning your body to stone in battle to resist more damage or heal yourself. It is located in the annex of the library, opposite the path of the greenhouses.
Transfiguration

Transformation is taught by Professor Weasley and this is where you will learn the transformation spell to turn enemies into harmless objects. It is located at the bottom of the astronomy wing.
