Now that the full game is out, what can we expect from potential DLC in the future? We come back to the rumors that are circulating.
Hogwarts Legacy was made available to all players almost a week ago, and to call it a success would be an understatement. The game is selling everywhere, so much so that it was the first, second, third, and fourth best-selling game on Steam earlier this week. Obviously, the trend does not stop and Hogwarts Legacy could establish itself as one of the best-selling games of the year. Faced with this success, we inevitably ask ourselves questions: How do Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche plan to support your game over time?
Hogwarts Legacy: what about the DLC?
As we know, single-player games tend to lose their excitement quickly. Even Elden Ring, the undisputed GOTY of 2022, suffered a drop in sales after the first few months. However, Warner Bros. and Avalanche are already showing their credentials to players by releasing various fixes throughout the week, just to let players know that they are doing everything they can to provide the most satisfying experience possible.. However, faced with such success, we suspect that simple updates are enough to maintain the interest of players over the long term.

It is therefore very likely that the publisher and the studio responsible for the game have planned to add new content in the coming months, including some new DLC. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the rumors abound.. Indeed, a leaker (@ManwithSecrets_ on Twitter) was able to reveal in particular that the size of the map had been reduced by about a quarter before its release (swamps and highlands removed). Potentially, these areas may have been reserved for the new DLC. Also, many fans complain about the impossibility of playing Quidditch, or going to the Chamber of Secrets. Shortcomings that could be easily corrected with new extensions. Anyway, this is all unofficial, so we’ll have to wait for a proper announcement from Warner Bros. Games to find out more.
