Disney’s long-awaited Dreamlight Valley update called friendship daywhich introduces us to two new characters, a new story and the big celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary, among other things, in the life simulator from the house of Mickey Mouse.
Gameloft, the French studio, promises us with this update the removal of some bugs, an improvement in performance and a novelty eagerly awaited by the community. The new update is available starting today, February 16. Next, we list the novelties, highlighting the most important ones:
New content and features
The first novelty is the expansion of the story ‘El Olvido’. This presents us with the arrival of a great snowstorm that will hit the snow-capped peaks.
One of the most anticipated new content is the addition of new characters. As the valley dwellers arrive Olaf the franchise’s most famous snowman, and will also be settling in with his ‘Mini-Casita’, Mirabelone of the feature film’s most notable characters, Charm.
Another novelty is linked to the celebration of the centenary of the entire Disney universe. The community has a new one available, Star Path, a sort of battle pass, where you can get exclusive items and 100 real-world Disney merchandise.
The Premium Boutique opens its doors. In this you can buy the premium coins, moonstones, which are obtained with real money. Moonstones are also increased, from 10 to 50, obtained from daily chests.
- -Improvements in the decorations of the houses, with new colors and new skins that you can get in the premium shop.
- -New furniture and clothing at Tío Scrooge’s General Store.
- -Chests crafted at crafting stations now come in three different varieties, providing increased storage capacity.
- -For better organization, you can now create customizable signs to help you remember what’s in a specific chest or mark your favorite fishing spot.
- -Improvements in the organization and management of inventory.
- -You can create new role training manuals to change villager roles.
- -The daily dialogues of all characters have been increased.
Bug fixes and improvements
- -At Kristoff’s booth, the daily coal purchase limit has been removed and the purchase limit for everything else in the booth has been increased (from 3-5 to 10-20).
- – Miraculous Elixir of Growth, Miraculous Beak Polisher, Miraculous Shovel Polish, and Miraculous Fishing Lure have been increased in effectiveness and the resources required to craft them have been reduced.
- -The New Game button has been moved to the settings menu and is now called Reset Game.
- – “Remembering Old Times” quest: Players should no longer have trouble taking the photo needed to progress in this quest.
- – Quest “Stitch’s Hobby”: The TV in this quest should no longer represent a progression blocker or disappear from the player’s inventory.
- – Trash Clearing Missions: Trash clearing from Goofy’s and Merlin’s houses should now allow for successful progression in these missions.
- – “A Deal with Ursula” quest: Fixed issues with placement of crystals on pedestals.
- – Quest “The Final Test”: Players should now be able to collect falling water to progress in this quest.
- – “How far will you go” quest: The game should no longer crash when starting a conversation with Moana to give her a fish.
- – Quest “Magic Moments”: Sushi quest requirements have been reduced.
- – “How Home Feels Like” quest: a new fix to help solve the glitter herring bug.
- – “The Definition of a Hero” quest: Crafting the Asphalt Arch and Balloons should now progress through the quest as intended.
- – “With Great Power” Quest: The Crystal Key should no longer disappear or duplicate for players who progress through this quest.
- – “The Ceremony” mission: Players should now be able to take the final photo without getting stuck on the photo screen.
- – Quest “Reputation of a Space Ranger”: Buzz Lightyear and Ursula should now talk to each other, which triggers the next step of the quest.
- – Fixed an issue that caused some players’ games to freeze when upgrading avatar or villager, especially after talking to them.
- – Fixed an issue where villager houses would disappear and could not be picked up.
- – The crafting menu should now work more reliably, as an issue causing movement to be disabled after selecting an item and switching tabs has been resolved.
- – Improved ground material spawning in some biomes.
- – Mailbox will no longer show duplicates of received mail.
Among all these fixes, Disney Dreamlight Valley promises that there will be many more in the future.
