Before the start of matchday 7 of Liga MX Women, Mexican striker Scarlett Camberos of Club America decided to speak out and publicize the physical violence she suffered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, Andres Hernandez, who is also believed to be responsible for the hacking of her social media accounts.
At the beginning of Clausura 2023, all three categories of professional football in the country have set new records for effective playing time per game in order to improve the quality of the spectacle, although the relationship between them remains ambiguous.
On the morning of February 14, the California-born athlete became a victim of a hacking incident on her Twitter and Instagram accounts. This was announced by the player’s father, who requested that internet users ignore any posts made during the day.
In recent months, the America player had reported the harassment by an alleged fan named “Andy Hernandez,” a situation that caused a lot of controversy and was condemned by fans, who called on the club and the Liga MX Women to take action to protect the 22-year-old.
Currently, Scarlett is focused on representing the Mexico women’s national team in the Uplift Cup in Leon, Guanajuato. However, she decided to speak out against Andres and accuse him of stealing her social media accounts, as well as revealing the physical violence she experienced during their year-long romantic relationship.
“Hello, this is the person responsible for hacking my accounts. I had a romantic relationship with this boy a year ago, but I stayed silent out of fear. Every time we had sex, he would attack me with blows to the neck or stomach. I will no longer remain silent,” said the young forward, while attaching images as evidence.
For matchday 6 of the Women’s MX League, here are the details of where to watch each game, whether on free or paid TV.
Later, she expressed how she had been continuously attacked and the fear she had lived with for many months. “I decided to end my relationship with this boy, and that’s when the fear and harassment began. He followed me, sent his friends to follow me wherever I went, he was jealous, possessive, intense, and that’s why he became violent. I won’t stay silent anymore.”
Pumas Femenil coach Jonathan Lazcano has been accused of assaulting Natalia Macías.
Both sides have come out to explain the situation, although some club fans believe the coach should be sanctioned.
“Another time, we had a fight in the apartment, and he told me it was his or nobody’s, and he decided to give me three punches in the stomach so that I would learn to respect him. I saw how he hit his friends; he does boxing and taekwondo and knows how to fight a lot and abuses it. I am not going to stay silent anymore. Andy told me that if I ever decide to leave him, I would regret it.”
Subsequently, he also attacked the cousin of the attacker, who had also been involved in physical violence towards another player of the Liga MX Women, Gloria Murillo, a female soccer player of Tigres.
“His cousin was the same case of aggression against Gloria Murillo. He raped her and was violent. He’s his cousin, he’s another stalker. Andrés was in charge of sending him to watch me when he couldn’t. In case I left my house to train, his name is Alex Noyola. He had a relationship with a Tigres player and was denounced for even violence. Look it up.”
