Professional retrainings are rarely situations of complete rest. This is for example the case for Adriana Chechik, a former pornographic actress who started on Twitch as a streamer. During TwitchCon, an event organized by the platform for its partners and viewers, she was seriously injured.

TwitchCon : Adriana Chechik kisses live
This weekend took place the TwitchCon: three months after that of Amsterdam which saw two French speakers win the competition, it is towards San Diego that the suitcases land.
A way for Twitch, the Amazon platform dedicated to streaming, to promote its partners while satisfying European and American fans who can meet the personalities on screen in real life.
Among the activities present on site, some individuals lent themselves to the photo game in an atypical way while others have fun competing like gladiators on raised pillars surrounded by a pool of foam cubes. A game more dangerous than it looks:
Adriana Chechik looks seriously injured after jumping into the foam pool. Looks like TwitchCon saved money on padding and amount of foam.
Twitch streamer Adriana Chechik, a former pornographic actress who has reconverted, whispers that she “can’t get up anymore” after jumping into the pool which seemed to be too shallow. In fact, she had to be rushed to the hospital for surgery:
Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today. Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.

TwitchCon: Several injuries noted
Unfortunately, Adriana Chechik is not the only one to be injured during this weekend because of the foam pool. As evidenced by the two tweets below, there are also two accidents for @loch_vaness (dislocated knee) or a sprained ankle. Many accidents for which Twitch would have committed to take 50% of the bill from hospitals related to injuries.
Twitch announces they are willing to split any hospital bills caused by poorly constructed twitchcon foam pit 50/50

One thing is certain: the responsibility of Twitch is engaged and it is likely to lose big in this case. Accidents which will, at least, have the merit of warning about this kind of activity so that everything goes smoothly during the next edition of TwitchCon: since the end of July, we know that the first edition of 2023 will take place in France, in Paris.
